<h1>India Amends Export Policy: Non-Basmati Rice Varieties Allowed with Limits and Conditions</h1> The Government of India, under the Foreign Trade Policy, has amended previous notifications to allow the export of certain non-basmati rice varieties, specifically Sona Masuri, Ponni Samba, and Matta rice. The permissible export quantities are set at 100,000 MT for Sona Masuri and 25,000 MT each for Ponni Samba and Matta. Exporters must register contracts with the Directorate General of Foreign Trade on a first-come-first-served basis, meet specific conditions, and adhere to a minimum export price of US$400 per MT. Other provisions from earlier notifications remain unchanged.
