<h1>India Waives Customs Duties on ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 Imports for BCCI and Authorized Importers.</h1> The Government of India, through Notification No. 7/2011-Customs dated February 9, 2011, exempts certain goods imported for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 from customs duties. The exemption applies to sports equipment, medical instruments, photographic and audio-visual equipment, broadcast equipment, and office equipment. These goods must be imported by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) or authorized importers. Importers must provide a bond with a 25% bank guarantee and re-export the goods within three months post-event closure. Imports and re-exports are restricted to specified ports and airports in Mumbai, Chennai, Tuglakabad, and Delhi.
