of <h1>India Extends Customs Notification Date to April 1, 2012 u/s 25(1) of Customs Act 1962.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 4/2011-Customs, amending Notification No. 21/2002-Customs. This amendment changes the date in clause (f) of the proviso from '1st day of April, 2011' to '1st day of April, 2012.' The amendment is made under the powers conferred by section 25(1) of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. This notification was initially published in the Gazette of India on March 1, 2002, and was last amended on January 8, 2011.
