of <h1>India Amends Customs Notification: Extends Duty Exemption for Goods Under Chapters 1-99 Until October 1, 2011</h1> The Government of India has issued Notification No. 102/2010-Customs, amending Notification No. 21/2002-Customs dated March 1, 2002. This amendment extends the exemption and effective rate of basic and additional duty for specified goods under Chapters 1 to 99 of the customs tariff. The amendment changes the date in clause (iag) of the preamble from '1st day of October, 2010' to '1st day of October, 2011.' This notification is issued under the authority of the Customs Act, 1962, and is deemed necessary in the public interest.
