Under the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and the Foreign Trade Policy of 2009-2014, the import policy for these items is now classified as 'Free.' This amendment is made in the public interest and is documented in Schedule-1 of the ITC(HS) Classifications of Export and Import Items. The notification is authorized by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
