<h1>India Extends Ban on Importing Milk Products from China for Six More Months Under Foreign Trade Act</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, has extended the prohibition on the import of milk and milk products, including chocolates, chocolate products, candies, confectionery, and food preparations containing milk or milk solids from China. This extension is effective from June 24, 2010, for an additional six months and will remain in force until further notice. The extension is issued under the authority of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and is in the public interest. The original prohibition was established on December 1, 2008, and has been extended multiple times.
