<h1>India Amends Vehicle Import Policy: Restricts Entry to Specific Ports and Airports Under Foreign Trade Policy 2009-14</h1> The Government of India has amended the import policy for vehicles under the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-14. As per the new amendment, the import of new vehicles is now restricted to specific entry points: Nhava Sheva, Kolkata, Chennai and Chennai Airport, Cochin, ICD-Tughlakabad, Delhi Air Cargo, Mumbai Port, Mumbai Air Cargo Complex, and ICD Talegaon Pune. This change is made under the authority of the Foreign Trade (Development and Regulation) Act, 1992, and is enacted in the public interest, as stated by the Director General of Foreign Trade.
