of <h1>India Amends Rice Export Rules: MEP Must Exceed USD 900/Ton Plus Foreign Commission Costs Under FTP 2009-2014</h1> The Government of India has amended the export regulations for rice under the Foreign Trade Policy 2009-2014. Effective immediately, the amendment revises the Minimum Export Price (MEP) conditions outlined in previous notifications. Specifically, if any foreign commission is paid during or after the export process, the MEP must exceed USD 900 per ton by the amount of the foreign commission paid or payable, ensuring the base MEP of USD 900 per ton is maintained, excluding the foreign commission. This change is implemented in the public interest.
