of <h1>Commissioner of Central Excise, Chandigarh-I appointed to adjudicate Customs case under Section 4(1) of the Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has appointed the Commissioner of Central Excise, Chandigarh-I, to serve as the Commissioner of Customs, Amritsar. This appointment is for adjudicating matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a company and others in Himachal Pradesh. The notice, dated February 7, 2003, was issued by the Additional Director General of the Delhi Zonal Unit, Directorate General of Central Excise Intelligence. This action is taken under the authority of section 4(1) of the Customs Act, 1962.
