of <h1>Government Denotifies 7.75.78 Hectares from IT Special Economic Zone in Chennai After Private Proposal Approval</h1> The Central Government has denotified an area of 7.75.78 hectares from a previously designated Special Economic Zone (SEZ) for information technology and IT-enabled services at Perungalathur Village, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. This decision follows a proposal by a private company under the Special Economic Zones Act, 2005. Initially, a total area of 10 hectares was notified as an SEZ in 2006, with an additional 13.40.88 hectares added in 2007. The denotification was approved on 26th August 2009, fulfilling all necessary legal requirements.
