of <h1>Government Extends Eligibility for Education and Health Support Scheme Under Section 35AC, Continuing Support for Marginalized Children</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Education and Health Support Scheme for Children of poor and socially marginalized class' by Nav Bharat Jagriti Kendra, based in Hazaribag, Jharkhand, as an eligible project under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified in 2003 and extended in 2007, the project will continue for an additional three years starting from the financial year 2009-2010, without altering the approved cost of Rs. 39 lakh. This decision follows the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare's recommendation, confirming the project's proper execution.
