<h1>New Exchange Rates for Foreign Currencies into INR Set Under Customs Act, 1962, Effective July 1, 2003</h1> Notification No. 40/2003 - Customs (N.T.) issued by the Board under the Customs Act, 1962, establishes new exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian Rupees for imported goods, effective from July 1, 2003. This supersedes the previous notification No. 35/2003-NT-Customs. The rates are detailed in two schedules: Schedule I lists the exchange rate for one unit of various currencies, including the US Dollar at 46.90 INR and the Euro at 54.25 INR. Schedule II specifies the rate for 100 units of the Japanese Yen at 39.85 INR.
