of <h1>Amendment to Customs Notification: Effective Date for Duty Exemption Changed from January 1 to March 1, 2004, per Section 3A.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 114/2003-CUSTOMS, originally issued on July 22, 2003, concerning the exemption of sales in the Domestic Tariff Area (DTA) from Special Additional Duty. The amendment changes the effective date in paragraph 2 of the notification from January 1, 2004, to March 1, 2004. This amendment is made under the authority of section 3A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The notification was published in the Gazette of India and previously amended by Notification No. 170/2003-CUSTOMS on November 29, 2003.
