This exemption applies to parts not containing thermionic valves, transistors, or similar semiconductor devices, and is relevant for items under Chapters 85, 90, or 98 of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975. The exemption is valid when these parts are imported into India and verified by the Assistant Collector of Customs. The conditions outlined in the amended Government notification No. 235-Customs, dated August 18, 1983, apply.
