of <h1>New Exchange Rates for Currency Conversion on Imported Goods Effective June 1, 2002, Under Notification No. 31/2002-Customs</h1> Notification No. 31/2002-Customs (N.T.) issued on 28th May 2002 by the Central Board of Excise and Customs supersedes Notification No. 22/2002-Cus. (N.T.) dated 24th April 2002. This notification establishes new exchange rates for converting specified foreign currencies into Indian rupees for imported goods, effective from 1st June 2002. The exchange rates are detailed in two schedules: Schedule I lists rates for individual units of various currencies such as the US Dollar (49.15 INR), Euro (45.35 INR), and others, while Schedule II specifies the rate for 100 units of Japanese Yen at 39.40 INR.
