<h1>Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Appointed as Common Adjudicating Authority for Show Cause Notice Cases Under Customs Act, 1962.</h1> The Central Board of Excise and Customs has appointed the Commissioner of Customs (Adjudication), Mumbai as the common adjudicating authority under the Customs Act, 1962. This appointment authorizes the Commissioner to exercise powers and duties for the Commissioner of Customs (Import) at Air Cargo Complex, Mumbai; the Commissioner of Customs at Custom House, Ahmedabad; and the Commissioner of Customs (Airport and Air Cargo) at Chennai. This is for adjudicating matters related to a Show Cause Notice issued to a company and others by the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence, Mumbai Zonal Unit, dated February 19, 2009.
