Initially notified for two years starting from the financial year 2006-2007, the project is now extended for an additional three years from 2008-2009 to 2010-2011. The National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare recommended this extension, confirming the project's proper execution. The approved cost remains unchanged at Rs. 9.78 crore.
