of <h1>Customs Act Amendment Extends Validity of Exim Policy Pass Book Credits for Exports Completed by March 31, 1997.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 104/95-Customs, originally dated May 31, 1995, under the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment, issued as Notification No. 12/99-Customs on February 1, 1999, introduces a proviso for imports made under a pass book issued under the Exim Policy. It states that if exports were completed by March 31, 1997, and credit in the pass book was not granted, the pass book remains valid for credit until March 31, 1999. This amendment is deemed necessary in the public interest.
