of <h1>India Imposes Anti-Dumping Duty on Chinese TMBA to Protect Domestic Industry Under Customs Tariff Act</h1> The notification imposes an anti-dumping duty on 3, 4, 5 Trimethoxy Benzaldehyde (TMBA) imported from the People's Republic of China. The Designated Authority concluded that Chinese exporters sold TMBA in India below normal value, causing material injury to the Indian industry. Initially imposed in 1995, the anti-dumping duty was reviewed in 1999, reaffirming that removing the duty would harm the domestic industry. Consequently, the Central Government, exercising its powers under the Customs Tariff Act, has enforced an anti-dumping duty of Rs. 207 per kg on TMBA originating from China to protect the Indian industry.
