of <h1>EPCG Scheme Amended: Textile and Chemical Sectors Added, Detailed Machinery and Equipment Lists Introduced for Eligibility</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 29/97-Cus under the EPCG Scheme to include textile and chemical sectors alongside the existing bio-tech and engineering sectors. The amendments modify conditions and explanations within the original notification, adding specific machinery and equipment relevant to the textile and chemical industries. New annexures have been introduced detailing eligible machinery for spinning, weaving, processing, and other related operations in these sectors. This includes advanced machinery for textile production and equipment for chemical manufacturing, such as dye and drug intermediates, as well as environmental and safety equipment.
