of <h1>Exchange Rates for Import Conversion to Indian Rupees Set Under Section 14 of Customs Act, Effective August 2001</h1> Notification No. 34/2001-Customs (N.T.), dated 26th July 2001, establishes exchange rates for converting foreign currencies to Indian Rupees for imported goods under section 14 of the Customs Act, 1962. Effective from 1st August 2001, the rates are specified for various currencies, including Austrian Schilling (3.00), Australian Dollar (24.10), Canadian Dollar (30.75), and US Dollar (47.35), among others. For Belgian Francs, Italian Lira, and Japanese Yen, rates are provided per 100 units. A separate notification, No. 35/2001-Customs (N.T.), addresses export goods. The notification is issued by the Under Secretary to the Government of India.
