of <h1>Central Government Updates Customs Notifications Under Section 3A of Customs Tariff Act, 1975 to Reflect New Classification Scheme.</h1> Notification No. 17/2003-Customs, dated January 24, 2003, issued by the Central Government under section 3A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, amends all existing notifications under the said section. It updates references to the Chapter, heading, or sub-heading of the First Schedule to reflect changes made by the Customs Tariff (Amendment) Ordinance, 2003. These amendments are technical, concerning the numbering scheme for Customs classification, and do not alter the substance of existing notifications. The notification takes effect from the commencement date of the Customs Tariff (Amendment) Ordinance, 2003.
