of <h1>Amendment to Notification No. 21/2002-Customs: Revised Duty Rates on Lining, Insoles, Packaging Boxes, and More Effective Jan 2003.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 21/2002-Customs, dated March 1, 2002, under the Customs Act, 1962, to revise the effective rate of duty on certain materials. The amendment, effective January 21, 2003, adds new items to the existing list under Sr.No.167A, including lining, interlining, reinforcement materials, insoles, mid-soles, shanks, welts, top caps, toe puffs, thermoplastic sheets, synthetic or polymeric foam, packaging boxes, and ribs. This amendment aims to align with public interest considerations.
