        <h1>Export consignment value limit allows simplified clearance for gems and jewellery from EOUs, EPZs and DTA units.</h1> The amendment provides that these regulations shall apply to imports of gems and jewellery, including samples, by Export Oriented Units and units in Export Processing Zones, and to exports of cut and polished diamond, gems and jewellery under the Export and Import Policy 1997-2002 from Export Oriented Units, EPZ units or units in the Domestic Tariff Area where the value of each export consignment does not exceed rupees twenty lacs.
