<h1>India Sets New Currency Exchange Rates for Export Conversion Under Customs Notification No. 78/2000 Effective January 2001</h1> The Central Government of India has issued Notification No. 78/2000-Customs (N.T.) dated 22nd December 2000, setting the exchange rates for the conversion of specified foreign currencies into Indian Rupees for the export of goods, effective from 1st January 2001. This notification supersedes the previous Notification No. 72/2000-NT-Customs. Schedule I lists the exchange rates for individual foreign currencies such as the US Dollar at 46.55 INR and the Euro at 42.55 INR. Schedule II provides rates for 100 units of certain currencies, including the Japanese Yen at 41.30 INR.
