of <h1>Central Government Amends Excise Rules, 1944: Updates Columns and References in Notification Effective February 28, 1986.</h1> Notification No. 84/86-C.E., dated February 10, 1986, issued by the Central Government under the Central Excise Rules, 1944, amends a prior notification from November 8, 1977. The amendments include substituting 'column (2)' for 'column (3)' and replacing references to the 'Item No. of the First Schedule to the Central Excises and Salt Act, 1944' with 'Chapter, Heading No. or Sub-heading No.' Additionally, column (2) and its entries in the Table are omitted, and the existing column (3) is renumbered as column (2). These changes take effect on February 28, 1986.
