The notification supersedes previous notification 44/2000-NT-Customs dated June 27, 2000. It prescribes conversion rates for calculating stamp duty and customs valuation purposes. Schedule I lists rates for 15 currencies including US Dollar at 45.05 INR, Pound Sterling at 68.25 INR, and Euro at 42.10 INR. Schedule II provides rates for Belgian Francs, Italian Lira, and Japanese Yen per 100 units.
