of <h1>Government Amends Customs Notification; Adds New Entry for Dyes, Optical Grade Polycarbonate, Jewel Boxes, and Unrecorded CD-Rs.</h1> The Central Government has amended notification No. 25/1999-Customs, dated 28th February 1999, under the powers granted by the Customs Act, 1962. This amendment, effective from 10th October 2002, introduces a new entry in List A of the notification's table. The new entry, S. No. 168, includes items such as dyes, optical grade polycarbonate, jewel boxes, and unrecorded CD-Rs. This amendment is deemed necessary in the public interest and follows previous amendments, the last being notification No. 57/2002-Customs dated 31st May 2002.
