of <h1>Customs Notification Amends Import Conditions for Atomic Energy Projects, Requires Joint Secretary Certification per Customs Act, 1962.</h1> Notification No. 83/2002 - Customs, dated 14th August 2002, amends Notification No. 21/2002-Cus dated 1st March 2002 under the Customs Act, 1962. It modifies Condition No. 87, requiring certification by a Joint Secretary-level officer for imports by the Department of Atomic Energy's constituent units. Additionally, it updates List 43 by adding two projects: Rajasthan Atomic Power Project Units 5 and 6 at Rawatbhata (440 MW) and the Prototype Fast Breeder Reactor at Kalpakkam (500 MW). These amendments are made in the public interest as per the powers granted to the Central Government.
