This amendment, effective from May 22, 2002, introduces a new entry (212A) in the customs tariff, imposing a 30% duty on such imports. The conditions for this exemption include that the repaired dies must be imported within one year of export and no duty drawback should have been claimed. The duty is calculated based on labor, material, and other repair charges, along with insurance and freight costs.
