of <h1>India Imposes Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on Sodium Nitrite from EU and Taiwan; Rates Set Per Metric Tonne</h1> The Central Government of India has imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on Sodium Nitrite imported from the European Union and Taiwan. The decision follows preliminary findings that these imports were priced below normal value, causing material injury to the domestic industry. The duty rates are set at $51.83 per metric tonne for imports from the European Union and $107.85 per metric tonne for imports from Taiwan. This measure is effective until September 27, 2002, and the applicable exchange rate for duty calculation will be determined by the date of the bill of entry presentation as per the Customs Act, 1962.
