of <h1>Tax Exemption for Sadvichar Samiti's Medical Project Extended Under Section 35AC for Three More Years</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the project 'Expenses towards surgical/medical instruments and running of the Netra Chikitsalaya Dispensary' by Sadvichar Samiti, Gujarat, for tax exemption under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified in 2003 and previously extended in 2006, the project is now approved for an additional three years starting from the financial year 2009-2010. The approved cost remains at Rs. 200 lakh, including a corpus fund of Rs. 50 lakh. The extension is based on the recommendation of the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
