of <h1>Gold Concentrate Imports for Refining Exempted from Special Additional Duty Under Section 3A of Customs Tariff Act.</h1> The Central Government has amended Notification No. 19/2001-Customs to exempt gold concentrate imported by a gold refinery for refining into gold from the Special Additional Duty. This amendment, effective from October 24, 2001, adds a new entry, '7A,' to the existing notification, specifying that such imports will incur no duty. This change is enacted under the powers granted by section 3A of the Customs Tariff Act, 1975, and is deemed necessary in the public interest. The principal notification was initially issued on March 1, 2001, and has been previously amended.
