        Coastal Shipping Act amendments brought into force from 1 July 2026 under the Jan Vishwas amendment notification. The Central Government appointed 1 July 2026 as the date on which the provisions of the Jan Vishwas (Amendment of Provisions) Act, 2026, insofar as they relate to amendments in the Coastal Shipping Act, 2025 and are specified against serial number 78 of the Schedule, shall come into force.
