of <h1>Customs Notifications 138/91 and 140/91 Amended to Allow Shared Use of Imported Equipment Under Software Technology Park Scheme.</h1> The Central Government has amended Customs Notifications 138/91 and 140/91, effective from October 10, 2001, under the Customs Act, 1962. The amendments allow the Assistant or Deputy Commissioner of Customs, with the Commissioner's approval, to permit the use of certain imported equipment by other units within the same or nearby premises under the Software Technology Park Scheme. These include diesel generating sets, central air-conditioning systems, and networking equipment, among others. Additionally, the terminology in the table for both notifications has been updated to include more specific equipment types.
