Recovery Officers appointed for arrears under the Social Security Code, with region-wise jurisdiction assigned across India. Central Government appoints specified Regional Labour Commissioners (Central) as Recovery Officers for recovering arrears relating to Chapter V and Chapter VI of the Code on Social Security, 2020, for establishments where the Central Government is the appropriate Government. The notification assigns territorial jurisdiction region-wise, including full States, Union Territories and specified districts, and also covers any new districts formed out of the listed areas.
