<h1>Amendment to Pan Masala Packing Rules: Rule 14A Enforces Duty Payment on Exported Goods and Factory Removals.</h1> The Government of India, through the Ministry of Finance, has issued Notification No. 05/2009-Central Excise (N.T.) to amend the Pan Masala Packing Machines (Capacity Determination and Collection of Duty) Rules, 2008. Effective from March 5, 2009, the amendment introduces Rule 14A, which stipulates that no notified goods can be exported without duty payment. Additionally, materials cannot be removed from a factory or warehouse without duty payment for manufacturing or processing goods intended for export. This amendment aims to regulate duty collection on exports of notified goods.
