Appellate authority appointments under industrial relations law are redistributed across regional labour offices and territorial jurisdictions. Appellate authorities are appointed under section 32 of the Industrial Relations Code, 2020 for industrial establishments across specified regions in India. The Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), New Delhi, and designated Deputy Chief Labour Commissioners (Central) are assigned appellate functions within the areas mapped to each officer. The notification also supersedes an earlier appointment notification, while preserving prior actions done or omitted before such supersession, and updates the territorial distribution of appellate authority under the Code.
