However, imports are allowed if accompanied by certificates confirming compliance with specific international safety standards (ASTM F963, ISO 8124, IS 9873, EN 71) and a Certificate of Conformance from an independent ILAC-accredited laboratory. This amendment, issued in public interest, replaces the previous restriction specifically targeting toys from China, which required similar certification for importation.
