of <h1>Customs exemption notifications amended to extend multiple validity periods and add BESS, with specific omissions and sunset applied</h1> Amendments replace multiple notifications' expiry dates, extending their operative period to 31 March 2028, thereby prolonging existing customs exemptions. Notification 25/2002 is amended to include 'Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)' alongside electrically operated vehicles, expanding the exempted goods. Notification 36/2024 has numerous table entries omitted and a proviso inserted terminating its effect after 30 April 2026, removing specified concessions. Notification 29/2025 is amended to add a sunset clause ending its effect after 31 March 2028. The amending notification takes effect on 2 February 2026.
