<h1>Blind School Project's Tax Benefits Extended under Section 35AC for Three More Years, No Cost Change</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the 'Nalgonda school and hostel for the blind' project, run by a welfare association in Andhra Pradesh, as a recognized scheme under Section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified for three years starting from the financial year 2005-2006, the project has been approved for an additional three-year period from 2008-2009 to 2010-2011. The project continues without any changes to its approved cost of Rs. 7.63 crore, following recommendations from the National Committee for Promotion of Social and Economic Welfare.
