of <h1>GST notification amended: e-commerce delivery excluded, life and health insurance exemptions expanded, definitions revised, effective September 22, 2025</h1> The government amended a GST notification to (1) exclude local delivery services provided by or through electronic commerce operators from a specific entry; (2) add exemptions for life and health insurance services to individual or individual-and-family insureds and for reinsurance of those services; (3) revise definitions by excluding electronic commerce operators from the 'goods transport agency' definition, defining 'group' for insurance exemption purposes (including employer-employee and certain non-employer groups), and defining 'health insurance business'; and (4) set the amendments to take effect on September 22, 2025.
