of <h1>Swiss imports of specified goods: duty, AIDC and health cess cuts tied to Rules of Origin proof, effective 1 Oct 2025</h1> Specified goods listed in Table I and Table II, when imported into India from Switzerland, are granted concessional customs treatment by exempting basic customs duty in excess of the rates prescribed in the relevant table; for Table I goods, Agriculture Infrastructure and Development Cess and Health Cess are also exempted to the extent they exceed the table rates, and for Table II goods, AIDC is similarly capped at the table rate. The exemption is conditional on the importer establishing Swiss origin in accordance with the Customs (Administration of Rules of Origin under Trade Agreements) Rules, 2020 and any notified origin rules, failing which the concessions are unavailable. The notification takes effect from 1 October 2025.
