<h1>Ministry of Corporate Affairs amends Companies Restriction on Layers Rules 2025 under sections 2(87) and 469</h1> The Ministry of Corporate Affairs issued notification G.S.R. 427(E) dated June 27, 2025, introducing the Companies (Restriction on number of layers) Amendment Rules, 2025. These rules amend the Companies (Restriction on number of layers) Rules, 2017, exercising powers under sections 2(87) and 469 of the Companies Act, 2013. The amendment substitutes Form CRL-1 in the Annexure of the principal rules. The amended rules will come into force on July 14, 2025.
