of <h1>SEBI mandates certification for AIF managers under 2007 regulations, compliance deadline July 31, 2025</h1> The Securities and Exchange Board of India issued a notification dated June 25, 2025, under the Certification of Associated Persons in Securities Markets Regulations, 2007, requiring certification for Alternative Investment Fund managers. At least one key personnel in the investment team of Category I and II AIF managers must obtain certification through specified NISM examinations. Category III AIF managers have similar requirements with different examination options. Existing AIFs must comply by July 31, 2025. The notification supersedes a previous May 2024 notification and becomes effective upon publication in the Official Gazette.
