of <h1>Eligibility Extension for Bharatpur Eye Hospital Project Under Section 35AC, Funding Approved for Three More Years</h1> The Central Government has extended the eligibility of the project 'Equipments and vehicle, running of Eye Hospital/camps at Bharatpur, Rajasthan,' managed by Friendship Foundation Trust in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, under section 35AC of the Income-tax Act, 1961. Initially notified in 1997, the project has had its cost estimates increased and its eligibility extended multiple times. The latest extension is for three years starting from the financial year 2007-08, with an approved cost of Rs. 50.00 lakh plus a Rs. 30.00 lakh corpus fund. However, the approval does not apply to funds collected during the financial year 2007-08.
