of <h1>Finance Ministry Amends UTGST Act: 2.5% Tax on Shared Helicopter Passenger Transport, Effective October 2024.</h1> The Ministry of Finance has amended Notification No. 11/2017-Union Territory Tax (Rate) under the Union Territory Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017. Effective from October 10, 2024, the amendment introduces a new entry under serial number 8, which includes the transportation of passengers by air in a helicopter on a seat share basis. The applicable tax rate is 2.5%, provided no input tax credit on goods used for supplying the service is claimed. This amendment follows prior changes made by Notification No. 12/2023, dated October 19, 2023.
