of <h1>India Imposes Provisional Anti-Dumping Duty on White Portland Cement from UAE and Iran per Notification No. 64/2001-Customs</h1> The Indian government has imposed a provisional anti-dumping duty on white portland cement imported from the UAE and Iran, as per Notification No. 64/2001-Customs dated June 14, 2001. This decision follows preliminary findings that the cement was being imported below its normal value, causing injury to the Indian industry. The duty rates are set at $30 per metric ton for UAE exporters and $46 per metric ton for Iranian exporters. This measure is effective until December 13, 2001, and payments are to be made in Indian currency based on the applicable exchange rate at the time of entry.
