of <h1>Customs Act Amendment: Duty Concession Expanded to Include Narrow Width High Speed Needle Shuttleless Looms</h1> Notification No. 63/2001-Customs, dated June 12, 2001, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, amends a previous notification (No. 17/2001-Customs) to include 'narrow width high speed needle' in the list of items eligible for duty concession. This amendment replaces item number (9) in List 18A with 'shuttleless loom' types, including air jet, water jet, rapier, projectile, and narrow width high speed needle. The amendment aims to serve the public interest by updating the customs tariff exemptions. The notification was published in the Gazette of India and follows a recent amendment on June 7, 2001.
