of <h1>Customs Notification Amends EPCG License Rules, Extends Export Obligation Period by Two Years for Eligible Importers</h1> Notification No. 58/2001-Customs, dated 30th May 2001, issued by the Central Government under the Customs Act, 1962, amends a previous notification (No. 29/97-Customs) to allow an extension of the export obligation period for EPCG licenses. If an importer fulfills 60% or more of the export obligation within eight years, the licensing authority may extend the obligation period by two years, including the one-year extension already provided. This amendment aims to address public interest considerations.
